| Description | Hand seal of the King and Queen's College of Physicians in Ireland (later RCPI). Ivory handle with circular metal die depicting a shield in the centre with Hercules slaying the Hydra, the harp of Ireland in one corner and a helmet on top. Standing either side of the shield are the gods Mercury and Apollo. Underneath is the motto "INVIDET ORCO" and surrounding the whole is the text (in reverse) "SIGILLUM COLLEGII MEDICORUM REGIS ET REGINA IN HIBERNIA". The Hercules seal was used by the College from 1692-1863.
