| Description | This is a glass syringe. It consists of a clear glass barrel and a bulbous-shaped lock at one end, and a removable fenestrated cork stopper at the other. Inside the cork stopper's fenestration, the clear glass plunger passes through, featuring a thread bobbin-like piston wrapped with cotton thread on one end, and a flat thumb rest on the other. This type of syringe was used for ear treatments such as earache, hearing difficulties, and to flush out accumulated wax.
This item was found with Weiss's improved syringe (FC/3/5/1) but was removed and catalogued separately as it was not originally part of the set.
