DescriptionThis section contains the completed forms returned to Dominic Corrigan and Robert Harrison giving the views of the officers of dispensaries and fever hospitals as those most concerned, on Harrison and Corrigan's proposals for the Medical Charities Act. The forms were created in response to the Chief Secretary for Ireland, Lord Eliot's desire to know whether the members of the medical profession 'were satisfied with the present system of Medical relief, and if not, what system they proposed to substitute for it'. The form contains Corrigan and Harrison's analysis of the situation and suggestions for change and ask the respondents to return the form 'marking in the margin those Clauses of which you approve or disapprove, or stating what modifications you would suggest'. Corrigan and Harrison received 90 replies, either the returned form with comments or a letter expressing an opinion, or both.
