Another smaller label beneath the main one reads "supplied by Antigen LTD Roscrea." The bottom of the bottle is embossed with "S577 KJFM2 UGB." The stopper is made of metal. The bottle shows stains and discoloration on the labels, as well as corrosion of the metal.
This type of bottle was commonly used in medical settings to store and dispense ether, a volatile and highly flammable anesthetic agent. Ether was widely used for its anesthetic properties in surgeries and other medical procedures. It was one of the first anesthetics used to induce unconsciousness in patients undergoing surgery. |
