| Description | This is a preserved clear glass container, which according to the label, contains a 3.8% Sodium Citrate solution. The brown label, inscribed in red and black ink, reads “Evans 100 cc Sterilised Solution of Sodium Citrate 3.8%. Made in England at the Evans Biological Institute Evan Medical Supplies Ltd., Liverpool and London. E72510". This type of solution is used as anticoagulant in stored blood, and for urine alkalization in the prevention of kidney calculi. |
