| Description | The Kathleen Lynn Memorial Committee was established by the St Ultan's Hospital Board in 1956 to raise funds for a memorial to Kathleen Lynn in the hospital. Sufficient money was raised over the following ten years to allow for the building of the Kathleen Lynn Surgical Ward at the hospital. The minute book covers the entire existence of the committee from its establishment by the board to its voluntary winding up in 1966 and the transfer of remaining funds to the hospital board for the erection of a plaque.
The minute books contain typescript and manuscript minutes for the committee, recording dates of meeting, those in attendance and those absent. Subjects discussed include fundraising drives and events; lists of subscriptions; accounts; plans for and building of the memorial ward.
Included with the volume are a number of loose sheets of notes on fundraising and the committee, also printed annual reports of funds raised and subscribers to the Memorial Committee. |
