DescriptionRectangular faux leather-covered case with a front push-button clasp and a hinged lid. When opened, the red silk and velvet interior contains part of a trocar set, incomplete as one compartment is empty. The trocar, used for treating ascites, consists of a metal shaft set into a patterned vulcanite handle and a hollow metal cannula.
