| Description | A rectangular leather case with a push-button front clasp. The interior is lined with blue velvet at the base and white silk on the lid, which bears the inscription: 'Superior Razors Manufactured by Joseph Rodgers & Sons.' The case originally housed two razors and one remains. The surviving razor features a double-sided ivory handle that conceals a metal blade, which can be extracted by pressing a lever. The blade is engraved on one side with 'Trademark Registered Dec. 1694' and on the other with 'Geo. Wostenholm & Sons.' |
