| Description | The Faculty was established in 1975, its aim is to setting high standards of integrity and professional competence. It is the authoritative body on all matters of educational, professional or public interest concerning Occupational Medicine. The Faculty is also involved in the development and enforcement of standards of practice and safety, as well as ethical codes. The Faculty is responsible for postgraduate medical education and training in Ireland, it is responsible for the Licentiate of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine and the Membership of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine Examinations. It also acts as a source of information and advice for professionals and government and statutory bodies. Membership of the Faculty is by exam, the faculty is governed by an elected board and a number of committee. |
