DescriptionCorrespondence between RCPI and the General Medical Council regarding the laters decision to recognise medical qualifications from the University of Allahabad for entry on to the colonial list of the Medical Register. RCPI was concerned about the level of medical education provided by the University, especially in relation to Midwifery, and as a result passed a resolution stated that registration by the GMC would no longer be 'sufficient proof of studies' for those wanting to apply for RCPI's Licence.'
