DescriptionTypescript and manuscript references for Neil John Blayney, from two distinct time periods in his career - preceding his appointment as County Surgeon at the Queen’s County Infirmary and preceding his application to the role of Inspector of Reformatories and Industrial Schools, which he was ultimately unsuccessful in securing.

Earlier references are provided by academic faculty and colleagues, including Sir Joseph Michael Redmond, President of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland from 1906 - 1908. All commend his skill and competency as a medical practitioner and note the quality of his education and character. Arthur Chance comments that he has “the great additional advantage of being a ‘thoroughly good fellow.’”

Later references are provided by colleagues from the Mater, the Queen’s County Infirmary Committee, and local clergy and administration including Patrick A. Meehan MP, and father to Eily Blayney.
