Description
Typescript account of a lecture given by Norman on Melancholia. Norman illustrates his lecture with two patients from the Asylum who are brought into the lecture room. He uses the first case to discuss the issue of heredity in insanity, as well as other factors. In both cases the patient has tried to commit suicide and Norman discusses the reasons for this with them, and gives his own views.
A manuscript note gives the patients names and [case numbers].
