Includes alphabetical index book 15 February 1837 until 20 May 1884 which partially covers the dates recorded in the oldest surviving register - RHD/3/2/1/1 - of patients admitted between 1797 and 1928. Note this register is not in date order and a group of earlier entries are recorded at the end of the volume. There is overlap in the second register - RHD/3/2/1/2 - which records admissions dating from 1871 until 1964. The remaining two registers differ in format to the bound volumes, and are recorded in notebooks between 1953 and 1986.
