| Description | Typescript letter informing RCPI of the Council's views on importance of maintaining the standards of professional qualifications during war time. The letter is the result of several enquiries made by other Licensing Bodies. The Council states that the highest standards must be maintained, but that 'during the present national emergency' the licensing bodies may choose to 'modify or suspend the application of their Regulations to particular candidates'. The Council must be informed in all such cases.
