Brotherston records his visit to his former patient who he saw 'running down the hill to the house, without any assistance'. He then describes the leg he operated on in detail, and records details of the boy's poor health, social and living conditions at the time of the operation. Brotherston laments 'the disadvantage of not having an hospital or other place to put my patient into'. |
