| Description | Hard bound printed and manuscript register listing pupils attending the Mater Misericordiae Hospital for medical and surgical training. Same as MMUHA/5/1/1/2. The ‘Remarks’ column contains a variety of manuscript notes, generally concerning dates of payment of fees or issue of certificates, or whether or not students attended Cork St Fever Hospital classes; however from p53 onwards the students’ date of birth and name of second level institution attended are noted also [from 1940-1968]. There are modern manuscript notes in pencil beside most entries which indicate whether or not a student went on to become a registered physician or surgeon, and also includes their updated addresses when registered.
