TitleEverett's Hypodermic Needles
Date1925-1975
Creator NameEverett; 1948-2017; Medical supply company
DescriptionThe tin case houses nine out of the twelve hypodermic needles, each securely held in place. The case’s lid bears an inscription, slightly faded, in blue ink: “The Star Stainless Hypodermic Needle One Dozen No. 12 Made in England.” This is accompanied by the company logo of “Everett”. Some corrosion is present.

Inside the box, a blue pad made of plastic features golden metal needle holders, where the needles are secured in the slot. These needles were designed to be a push-fit for the original Record syringes. Each needle is engraved with the number 12 at the end that fits into the syringe. Two of them still have the cleaning wire inside.

Hypodermic needles are used to either inject fluids into the body or withdraw them, and these particular needles were specifically designed for the original Record syringes, patented by Dewitt & Hertz.
