DescriptionThe see-through original paper packaging contains a wooden tongue depressor. The packaging is decorated with red writing that reads “Dolobid Diflunisal,” possibly indicating that it was a promotional gadget for Diflunisal, a salicylic acid derivative with analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity. This was developed by Merck Sharp & Dohme in 1971 under the name Dolobid.
