DescriptionThis is a piece of waterproof sheeting. It consists of a white piece of fabric, rigid and stained. According to Fannin (1908:247), it was one of the essential items for a midwives to keep in their bag. The waterproof sheeting was used to protect surfaces and maintain hygiene during childbirth.
