DescriptionMetal Rheinstadter's flushing curette. This is used for scraping the lining of the uterus, for procedures such as removal of fibroids, polyps, and other growths. It can be used to gather samples for the purpose of diagnosis. Object consists of long narrow body with a small bulb at one end. On the other end there is a small spoon-like scoop. Inside the tube there is some black residue. This was passed into the uterus and a sample scraped from the wall. The body of the thicker portion is serrated for better grip.
