| Description | This item is a sealed, unused Ethicon Ethilon Mersuture. The package has a clear plastic side and a tin paper side, which are meant to be peeled apart to open. Inside, there is a smaller sealed package with black writing that says: “Ethilon Sterile Monofilament Polyamide 6 Suture Blue reverse cutting 26mm 18 in 3/0 B.P.C. 2 metric 45cm” in the white area and “320 Mersutures Eyeless Needled Suture *TM” in the light green area.
Ethilon Mersutures are composed of a single strand, helping minimising tissue drag and reducing risk of infection. They are commonly used in general surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, orthopedic surgery, ophthalmic surgery, and neurological surgery due to their strength, minimal tissue reaction, and ease of handling. |
