| Description | This is an amber glass stoppered bottle of Aether Anestheticus BP. It is now empty, but it features a paper label describing its former contents as follows, in black and red ink writings: “Evans Aether Anestheticus BP. Prepared from duty-free Ethyl Alcohol for anaesthetic purposes. Aether Anestheticus should be stored in its original packages in a cool place and away from direct light. HIGHLY INFLAMMABLE. Imported and distributed by Evans Medical Supplies (Ireland) Ltd., Distillery Road, Dublin.” On the other side, it features an embossed pattern on which a smaller label is attached, reporting in black ink: “This package is charged 10 d. and the same will be allowed on return. J. F. M. & Co., E. & L.” On the bottom, it is embossed with the number six. The bottle has a glass stopper and a string at its neck. Signs of wear and tear visible on the labels.
