| Description | This is the "Original 'Perfection' Bed and Douche Pan," a bedpan made from white ceramic by Grimwades Limited. It has a flat and slightly sloping base, allowing it to be easily slid under the patient. The design includes a blunt top edge with a flat handle.
Inside, in green ink, there is the following printed text:
"ORIGINAL 'PERFECTION' BED AND DOUCHE PAN Made in 2 Sizes Adult 14ins Child's 12ins The Most Comfortable and Sanitary Bed-Pan In the World Guaranteed Impervious For Hospital and Home British Patent 9583 Also Patented in U.S. Made in England by Grimwades Ltd Stoke-on-Trent (Medium)."
This design was created to provide comfort and practicality for bedridden patients, with the additional suggestion of using a flannel cover to improve the user experience.
The bedpan appears stained and shows signs of wear and tear. |
