| History | The Adelaide School of Nursing was found in 1859 by Miss Bramwell, who had served with Florence Nightingale in the Crimea. The school provided the first nursing education for lay women in Ireland, and has become famous for nursing excellence throughout the world. |
| Custodial History | Material was rescued from a skip outside the Adelaide Hospital following its closure in 1998, it was donated to the RCPI Heritage Centre in 2013. |
