| Description | The casebook is comprised on preprinted pages with space to record; name, address, date, disease, occupation, result, and then detailed case notes. The volume contains records for over 200 cases. The first 20 cases date from 1896 and were presumably treated by Franks. The remainder of the cases, written in a different hand, are from the years 1904 to 1908. In most cases the fields relating to the patient have been completed, and they are accompanied by notes covering the condition, treatments, operations carried out and results. On a small number of occasions the notes are accompanied by a ink sketch of interesting features.
The casebook has an index at the front, cases are indexed both by patient name and disease across the two time periods. |
