| Description | Transactions, or Minute Books, of the Apothecaries' Hall of Dublin. These contain details of those sworn into office, those examined by the Hall, decisions and orders of the Hall, as well as financial details. Some of the volumes also contain copies of letters, reports, newspaper cuttings and accounts. The early books contain fairly sparse information, but the amount of information recorded increases across the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. This is not a complete set, as volumes VI and VIII covering the periods April 1834 to September 1844 and May 1856 to June 1872 are missing. There are two volumes containing the rough notes taken at the meetings to be copied into the official transaction books which cover most of the missing periods. |
