Records include a book titled, 'Defaulters Book' RHD/3/4 reflective of the unique service of the hospital in the 1800s in providing free accommodation to people with an 'incurable' disease for undefined and often long periods of time. The 'Defaulters Book' outlines accounts of misbehaviour on the part of a patient and consequent action taken 'by the board'. |
