| Description | This section contains the papers relating to the Pearson Estate, part of which was left to the College by Dr Francis John Boxwell Quinlan. Dr Quinlan died in 1900 leaving his estate, including five fourteenth share in the Pearson Estate to his wife, the reversion to the College on her death, Mrs Quinlan died in 1935. Quinlan's bequest included a number of stocks, but the largest part was a five fourteenth share in the Pearson Estate, which mainly consisted of a large number of properties in Dublin. The Pearson Estate was eventually sold in the early 1950s, with the College taking their share of the sale price. |
