Porter congratulates Butcher on his recent article in the Medical Press 'which is excellent in every respect except that it brings one professional name a little to prominently forwards, however, the owner of that name receives it as it was meant, with the utmost kindness and is very grateful. The letter goes on to further congratulate Butcher, who Porter expects to take 'a first position as an operating and (what is much better) a scientific surgeon'. A postscript asks for Butcher's views on Porter's ideas regarding 'the treatment of aneurism by compression'. |
