Equipment consists of a ‘Vi-Tan Ultra Violet Home Unit' consisting of wood travelling case with metal handle and plug socket on reverse, containing complete glass lamp with mercury interior; also contains socket and plug lead in reverse compartment, no goggles. Plaque on inside cover reads 'Vi-Tan'; Ref No: 712; Volts: 200-260; Watts: 40-50; Cycle: 50; The Thermal Syndicate Limited, Wallsend-On-Tyne, England; Supplied by Fannin and Co. Limited, Dublin. [c1935]. A set of [?steel] ear, nose and throat instruments in silk lined case consisting of steel and [?wooden] inlay handle, 2 small examination mirrors, 2 steel examination ends [?for the ear], 1 steel magnifying end for the [?ear], 1 thin steel [?trachial] examination tube w/possible light source, and 1 metal ophthalmoscope piece w/ plus and minus lens; one piece of equipment is missing from the case. A patella hammer with a vulcanised rubber head and metal shaft. A metal tuning fork in black leather case: tuning fork in the key of C, also stamped '512' on the front and 'Acousticon' on the reverse. Leather case is stamped with "Acousticon, 77 Wigmore Street, London, W1; 14 St Annes Square, Manchester; 14 New Street, Birmingham; 75 Buchanan Street, Glasgow'. An ‘Accoson' mercury Sphygmomanometer [blood pressure monitor] in brown metal case; includes arm cuff, rubber tubing and bulb [?C1955/1965]. A paper advertisement for 'Equanil' anti-anxiety drug consisting of printed portrait on the front of a 'Lady and Child' by George Romney, description of medication titled 'Repose with Relaxation' and packaging and supplier information on the reverse for John Wyeth & Brother Limited, Clifton House, Euston Road, London, W1 (4pp; [c1935/1945]).
