The Board met every month then every second month until 1865, with occasional meetings twice a month depending on urgency. Listed each meeting are the members present. Topics include the nominations of resident pupils for winter and summer sessions and the structuring of appointments of apprentices and students to the Hospital; discussions around appointments to the Medical Board; pupils fees; the establishment of the Leonard Prize (9 Sept 1869); guidelines for the role of Resident Surgeon (10 Jul 1880); rules for the administration of drugs to prevent accidental poisoning (1 Nov 1888); the proposed establishment of a photographic room or ‘installation’ (14 Nov 1896); the football team dinner following their first Hospitals Cup win (Mar 1897), amongst others. |
