Slides show photographs of women who have received cures at Lourdes, those where the diseases is identified are from tuberculosis or cancer. Most of the slides have handwritten notes on them giving the names of the subject, some also have details of their illness and the date of their cure. Some of the slides have two dates, one identified as G., presuabmly Guéri (cured), and R., possibly Reconnu (recognised, by the Lourdes Medical Bureau).
Some of the photographs are taken outside the Grotto of Massabielle, Lourdes or in front of buildings in Lourdes, others are studio photographs. |
