The notebook is organised into the following sections, blood, epithelium, connective tissue, cartilage, bone, muscle, blood vessels, lymphoid organs, the tongue, alimentary canal, liver (pig), kidney, ovary, lung, cornea and spinal cord.
The scientific drawings within the notebook, represent 127 slides, examples include, blood film, bone marrow, tendon of mouse's tail, transverse section of long bone, nerve fibres, motor nerve endings, nerve cells, small artery, vein and nerve, tonsil, spleen, taste buds, serous gland, stomach cardiac end, liver (pig), testis, ovary (rabbit), skin, scalp, retina (frog) and cerebellum.
