FitzGerald organised the book alphabetically, only using the first c.93 pages to record the ailments of the crew during their voyage. The book is divided into the following columns, 'Locality, Daily No. Sick., Names, Age, Quality, No. on Ship's Books, No. of Mess, Dates of Admission, Date of Discharge, No. of Days Sick, Whither Discharge and Disease and Remarks.'
