The volume consists of reports of the Managing Committee for the years ending 4 January 1829, 4 January 1830, 4 January 1831, 4 January 1832, 31 March 1833, 31 March 1834, 31 March 1835, 31 March 1836, 31 March 1837, and a report for two years, from 1 April 1837 to 31 March 1839.
The volume also contains attached medical reports for 1828, 1829, 1830, 1831, 1832, the year ending 31 March 1834, the year ending 31 March 1835, the year ending 31 December 1835, the year ending 31 December 1836, and two years from 1 January 1837 to 31 December 1838.
A wide range of topics are evident in the reports, including expansions of hospital accommodation, admissions of patients, cholera epidemics in the 1830s, theories on the causes of fever (including observations on the links between weather changes and its spread), opinions regarding types of treatment, and descriptions of individual cases.
