Box Containing Ampoules of Coramine

The blue cardboard box contains 5 ampoules of Coramine (now called Nikethamide). There is space for 6 vials, but one is missing. There is a metal strip in the last empty space. A piece of paper accompanies the box detailing what Coramine was as well as what it treats, its dosage and the maker (CIBA Laboratories, Horsham, Sussex). According to the leaflet, Coramine was used as a respiratory and circulatory stimulant for oral, hypodermic, intramuscular or intravenous administration. Part of the Dr Diarmuid O'Driscoll Collection.
