Publications Kirkpatrick published extensively on this history of medicine in Ireland, he wrote histories of several Dublin hospitals as well as the history of the medical school at Trinity College Dublin. He also wrote a number of biographical studies of several irish medical figures of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
