Historical Writing and Research Kirkpatrick was a leading figure in research into the history of medicine in Ireland. With a background in both history and medicine he carried out much research and published numerous works. This section contains his surviving research notes and published works on the history of medicine and well as a small collection of documents relating to his interest in the history of printing. c.1845-1945
