Section of the History of Medicine The section of the history of medicine was established in 1956. As with the other sections this section is governed by a President and council, and hold regular meetings at which members present papers. The minute books of the section contain minutes of the meetings of the section, with details of papers presented, and minutes of the council of the section, with details of the arrangement of section meetings, membership and organisation. 1956-
