- Manuscript letter to Sir Philip Crampton Smyly from Morell Mackenzie dated 17 Augsut 1887, asking Smyly to join the 'proposed laryngological Society of Great Britain'.
- Manuscript letter to Sir Philip Crampton Smyly from Lennox Browne dated 1 February 1896,  informing Smyly that he has been proposed as a member of the American Laryngological, Rhinological and Otological Society.</dc:description>
