Pasted into the front cover is a manuscript page titled ‘A summary account of the patients admitted annually to the Mater Misericordiae Hospital’ for the years 1861-1872 inclusive which lists the total number of patients admitted during each year; total number of days in the hospital; daily average number in the hospital; and the average stay of each patient. Total number of patients admitted for each year is provided at the end of each calendar year; patient admission numbers begin again at number 1 at the start of a new year. Last date of discharge is 2 August 1872. Register is not in alphabetical order or indexed; instead patients are listed in chronological order of admission date. Printed title on front cover reads ‘Register of Patients Admitted Into the Mater Misericordiae Hospital Commencing Jan 1st 1870’. 1 January 1870 - 29 June 1872
