  <dc:description>Metal syringe with encased glass tube.  Plunger is marked with a measuring scale 1-30.  Engraved on the side of the barrel are the words:  "DR. R.B. WAITE'S HYPODERMIC SYRINGE".  Some rusting.  Dr. Ralph Britton Waite (1871-1965) was a graduate of the Philadelphia Dental College who developed injectable anesthetics to manage pain during dental surgery.</dc:description>
