Silkworm Gut Ligatures The cardboard box can be opened by pulling the lid. It has a label that reads in handwritten red ink "White", and “I.S. Finest Selected Silkworm Gut”, and “Ligatures” written between two handwritten red ink "2", followed by “International Sutures LTD Dublin EIRE”. In red ink, at the bottom of the box,“50 Strands” is handwritten. Inside the box, there are the silkworm gut strings rolled up. The cardboard shows signs of wear and tear, discolouration, and stains. 1925-1975
