<dc:title>Fleischer Stethoscope Chest Piece</dc:title>
<dc:description>This item is a chest piece of a Fleischer binaural stethoscope set. It consists of a black cotton belt with metallic tabs at each end, and a disc-shaped stethoscope with a side connector. It was usually part of a stethoscope composed of a triple changer, two interchangeable chest pieces, and a brachial phonendoscope. This “Fleischer Stethoscope” was manufactured by “B-D Becton Dickinson & Co.” as engraved on the back of the stethoscope. This type of stethoscope was originally designed in 1921 by Andrew W. Fischer, who eventually merged his company with Becton Dickinson.</dc:description>
