  <dc:title>Vernon's Percussion Hammer</dc:title>
<dc:description>The percussion hammer is made of nickel-plated steel by Fannin’s, as designed by Vernon in 1858. It consists of a handle welded onto a shaft and a hammer head.
The handle is engraved with "Fannin Dublin Made in England". The hammer head is rimmed with India rubber.
Unfortunately, the nickel plating on the shaft is heavily corroded.
