<dc:title>Slipper Bed Pan</dc:title>
<dc:description>This is a bedpan made from white ceramic by Fannin. It has a flat and slightly sloping base, allowing it to be easily slid under the patient. The design includes a top blunt edge with a handle.

Inside, in black ink, there is the following printed text:

"THE NEW SLIPPER BED PAN. The Slipper should be passed under the patient in front between the legs. If a flannel cap is made for the blade fastened by strings under the handle, considerable comfort will be afforded."

This design was created to provide comfort and practicality for bedridden patients, with the additional suggestion of using a flannel cover to improve the user experience.

The bedpan is chipped and shows signs of wear and tear. The bottom features a black stamp of "Surgical Instruments Maker Fannin & Co. Grafton Street Dublin."</dc:description>
