  <dc:title>Medical Career</dc:title>
<dc:description>Small collections of papers relating to John Fleetwood's medical career. Fleetwood studied medicine at University College Dublin, going on to practice as a GP in Dublin. Specialising in gerontology (care of the elderly), he was appointed to Our Lady's Hospice, Blackrock in 1961. Fleetwood was also very involved with the Irish Gerontological Society and the Irish College of General Practitioners. Fleetwood spoke and published widely on his area of medical specialism, and this section contains copies of some of his published works as well as a large number of typescripts of papers.</dc:description>
