King and Queen's College of Physicians in Ireland Seal Matrix Hand seal of the King and Queen's College of Physicians in Ireland (later RCPI). Possibly the Registrar's seal. Ivory handle with circular metal die depicting a shield in the centre with Hercules slaying the Hydra. Underneath is the motto "INVIDET.ORCO". Around the edge (in reverse) are the words "SIGILL:REGISTR:COLL:MED:REGIS:ET:REGIN:IN.HIB". Accompanied by a small square of cardboard upon which is a sample of the seal, in red wax, and a handwritten note stating "The College Arms in use up to 1864".
