  <dc:description>Set of 9 long, black gowns trimmed with yellow fabric and dark purple velvet.  Long, wide sleeves.  Four gowns have labels attached to inside collar with maker's name "THOMPSON/8 WESTMORELAND ST., DUBLIN" stitched in red lettering.  The words "DEPUTY GOVERNOR" are handwritten on one of these labels.  Frayed in places and some staining present.  Worn by the members of Apothecaries' Hall of Ireland.</dc:description>
