  <dc:title>Lord Mayor of Dublin's Millennium Award Medal</dc:title>
  <dc:description>Bronze medal presented to the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland during the Dublin Millennium Year of 1988.  Medal is attached to and can swivel within a linen-covered display box.  The following written on the inside covers of the box:  'The Lord Mayor's Millennium Award/presented to/The Royal College of Physicians/in Ireland/in recognition of outstanding achievement/Signed:  Carmencita Hederman/Lord Mayor of Dublin/Dublin 1988' and 'THE DUBLIN CITY SEAL/The thirteenth century two sided City Seal is the earliest item/in the City Regalia./The city is portrayed at peace by a ship at sail in a sea of/plenty; on the obverse the city gates are shown under seige/with two sentries sounding the alarm, while two archers take aim with their crossbows.  On the city walls two heralds also sound the alarm, and on the gates in the foreground are impaled the heads of three offenders as a dire warning./Stamped around the rim on both sides are the words "Sigillum/Commune Civium Dublinie" or "The Common Seal of the City/of Dublin".
